    What is a Movement Expert?

A movement expert is someone who has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of human movement, which encompasses aspects such as anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and motor control. A movement expert may work in various fields, such as Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine, High Performance Coaching or Personal Training.

Movement experts are highly skilled at evaluating movement patterns and identifying areas of dysfunction or limitations in mobility, strength, or flexibility. They use their expertise to develop customized exercise programs that address these issues and help their clients or patients move more efficiently, effectively, and safely.

Some examples of movement experts include Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Kinesiologists, Biomechanists, and Movement Coaches. These professionals may work with a wide range of clients, from athletes and dancers looking to improve their performance, to individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries, to older adults seeking to maintain their mobility and independence.

Do I need access to fitness equipment to attend the AMT level 1 or 2?

Having access would be helpful but not necessary, we do believe that feeling is understanding and if you can perform and experience the skill and techniques you will attain a greater understanding when teaching it to your clients. Basic equipment such as resistance bands, foam rollers, a swiss ball, and dowel are essential for a majority of the movement fundamentals. Performance equipment such as kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells and suspension trainers are recommended to enhance your practice.
